The FreeStack R Hide-Show stack is a very useful utility stack that allows you to display different content within it on your desktop and mobile layouts. For example, display longer text content with multiple images on your desktop layout, and only 1 image with much shorter text content on your mobile layout.

You have 2 areas in Edit mode to drop content into. One is for the desktop content and the bottom area is for your mobile content. The stack can also be set to just display content on your mobile layout and hide the desktop content display, and vice verse.

DEMO EXAMPLE: This stack is used for each banner image on this site. The banner image displays on the desktop layout but is hidden and replaced with just text for faster page loading on smartphone devices on smartphone screens based on the breakpoint width set in the stack's hud control. Resize the page or view it on your smartphone to see it in action.

The FreeStack R Hide stack is a simple single function, but very useful utility stack that prevents the content within it from displaying on your mobile layout. For example, if you have a large banner image on your desktop layout that you do not want displayed on your mobile layout, add that image stack into the FreeStack R Hide stack and set the media query width you want the image to not be displayed at. Also very useful to hide large blocks of text that you want displayed on your desktop layout but not on your mobile layout.

DEMO EXAMPLE: This stack is used on the gray block of text at the bottom of the left column on this page. The text displays on the desktop layout but is hidden automatically on smartphone screens based on the breakpoint width set in the stack's hud control. Resize the page or view it on your smartphone to see it in action.

The FreeStack R Image Float stack allows a responsive image to be floated to the left and right within a column of text, that repositions and scales the image down on a mobile layout with the image above the text in a single column based on the breakpoint width set in the hud controls. The image size is adjustable and can be set to a different size for the desktop and mobile layouts using the built-in sizing hud controls.

The FreeStack R Image URL stack allows a warehoused image to be called and displayed responsively within the stack. The stack offers different sizing and alignment hud control options for desktop and mobile layout viewing. By calling images warehoused (uploaded in a folder remotely on a server), you can significantly reduce your Rapidweaver sandwich site file size resulting in faster publishing times, and faster page loads times in browsers and on smartphone and tablet devices.
